Thrill Kills : A MUST SEE VIDEO FOR LEARNING LESSONS FROM THIS HIMALAYAN TRAGEDY

Nature heals and kills. The search for thrill should not bring havoc to self and the family members. I appeal to all the youth of the world, think before you leap. In Chennai hundreds lose their lives when they enter the ocean for  pleasure. Oceans are not lakes or ponds and most of the city residents do not know swimming. Then why should one enter into waters?

Beware of the dangers in adventurism.

Himachal tragedy: Hair-raising video of Beas river accident surfaces on social media

THE HINDUSTAN TIMES HT Correspondent,  New Delhi, June 11, 2014

Three days after at least 24 students of an engineering college in Hyderabad and a tour operator were washed away in River Beas in Himachal Pradesh on Sunday, a video of the horrific accident has emerged.
More than 60 students and teachers of the VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology in Hyderabad were on an excursion to Manali.
Hindi daily Amar Ujala released the exclusive video on YouTube.
The four minute and 34 second video shows students on rocks and the bed of the river taking photographs when suddenly the water level rises, washing them away in the strong currents of the river.
Those who were near the bank of the river ran to safety but others standing on the rocks and the bed are seen being washed away.
People are heard screaming and running along the banks of the river.

The river level suddenly increased due to release of water from the Larji hydropower project dam, located near the accident spot, without warning, witnesses said.
