Japan, which was getting around 30% of its energy needs, became nuclear free, last week. As the maintenance is to be carried out every 13 months the last nuclear reactor too fell silent. There are concerns about the energy supply during the ensuing winter. O.K. Japan has got the talent to overcome any hurdle.
The question is how far the nuclear reactors in the developing and the developed world are safe. The environmentalists are raising concerns about any radiation leaks. Nuclear energy is a sitting demon. We all have to go for alternate sources that are renewable, reliable and environment friendly.
