EVERY MOUNTAIN IS MADE OF SINGLE GRAINS ONLY

COOKING HABITS
- Cover your pot while cooking. Covered food cooks faster.
- Match the size of the pot with the size of the burner as the energy is lost when the heating element is larger than the pot used.
- Turn off the electric hotplate before the food is fully cooked as the remaining heat can complete the cooking.
- Avoid opening the oven door while cooking to prevent the heat from escaping.
- Thermal cooking pot significantly cuts down the energy used for cooking. The ingredients will be boiled before being placed in the insulated thermal pot. The retained heat will cook the food without additional heat from the stove. It can save up to 80% of the energy used for normal cooking.
- Pressure cooker consumes less energy and cook much faster. By cooking food at a higher temperature and pressure, a pressure cooker can save up to two-thirds in cooking time and reduce energy consumption by 50%-75% compared to conventional methods.

WASHING MACHINE AND DRYER

- A significant amount of electricity is used for heating of water. Use cold water for washing if possible. It is not necessary to use water heater function in the washing machines as room temperate water is sufficient for effective wash.
- If warm water is required for washing cycle, use cold water for the rinsing cycle to cut the electricity consumption by half.
- Use the right amount of detergent to avoid washing or rinsing the load unnecessarily.
- Pre-soak or use a soak cycle when washing heavily soiled garments to avoid two washing cycles. Soaking cycle consumes less electricity than washing cycle.
- Wash with a full load to save energy.
- Air-dry your clothes rather than using a clothes dryer as dryer consumes a lot of electricity.
