The Japanese car manufacturer, Nissan showcased one of its best-selling electric cars in the global car markets, Nissan Leaf at the recently concluded New Delhi Auto Expo. The car with the looks like a normal hatchback car, delivers a performance totally unimaginable from an electric car. The 160 km odd range from a single battery charge, the top speed attained by the compact five-seater electric car surpasses the expectations to touch the 140 kph equalling any other car driven by the conventional propulsion methods. One of the main changes to the vehicle is its increased driving ability on a fully-charged battery, from 109 to 124 miles. The car has also got lighter, with improved brake regeneration and reduced friction to improve driving distance ability. The new car has a more responsive steering system with improved torque power under the boot, where the engine has been relocated to, to free up more boot space.
