The Japanese car manufacturer, Nissan showcased one of its best-selling electric cars in the global car markets, Nissan Leaf at the recently concluded New Delhi Auto Expo. The car with the looks like a normal hatchback car, delivers a performance totally unimaginable from an electric car. The 160 km odd range from a single battery charge, the top speed attained by the compact five-seater electric car surpasses the expectations to touch the 140 kph equalling any other car driven by the conventional propulsion methods. The all-electric motor under the car bonnet pumps out a 107 Bhp and 280 Nm of top power and torque. Depending on the Government’s take on the electric cars at the next budget session, the Japanese car manufacturer might make a debut into the Indian car market with its first electric car. 

British-built and highly acclaimed worldwide, the 100% electric Nissan Leaf ticks all the right boxes, particularly for environmentally conscious drivers. As a fully electric vehicle, the model’s improved appearance and drivability further add to its economical benefits. Available in three variants – Visia, Acenta and Tekna – the revised emissions free car has received more than 100 changes to better save on electric power and boost the overall driving experience.

The improved black interior is more practical than the grey one found in previous models. The redesigned seats are more stylish in design and supportive in construction, making driving more enjoyable for all. The cabin is roomy enough to seat four adults comfortably, with a tall roof line for an even further spacious feel.
Performance
One of the main changes to the vehicle is its increased driving ability on a fully-charged battery, from 109 to 124 miles. The car has also got lighter, with improved brake regeneration and reduced friction to improve driving distance ability. The new car has a more responsive steering system with improved torque power under the boot, where the engine has been relocated to, to free up more boot space.
Quality & Reliability
