ENJOY NATURE EVERY SECOND

A BIG HONEY COMB IN A BUSY SCHOOL WALL

Honey bees are one of the best  friends  of man. Simply no other species is giving us a sweeter liquid. Mere sheer  efforts make them collect the sweet called honey and the humanity is benefited much. To understand  nature one need not be an environmentalist. Living our traditional ways is enough. The biggest enemy of earth today is urbanization.  In Tamilnadu 49% of the population is urban. Leaving the villages and migrating to the big towns are the major issue that confronts the humanity today. Better healthcare, educational avenues, good price for the produce ,insurance against crop loss, free pesticides, free uninterrupted  power,  and pension scheme for all farm heads will ensure their continued presence in the villages. One may argue it will encourage laziness. True to a certain extent. But ensuring food for all is possible only till our villages are alive. Rice can be processed in factories but it has to come from paddy fields. The employed in the organized sector are assured of a steady income.
In the similar manner some income must be regular and handsome for the villagers to continue with the profession. Already changes are visible and well educated are returning to their roots and do cultivation in an organized manner. But compared to the migration to cities their number is too small.

The increased urbanization brings pressure on land, water and air.  Let there be a realization on the part of all involved.
