Once the monsoon sets in on the Indian sub-continent our roads turn into rivers. For months movement of people gets affected. Are we the only land it rains? Then, why this annual water festival? Simply our planners and the public fail to do their duty. The planners leave no space for carrying the flood waters and if they leave any provision the public fill them with materials that include polythene choking the passage of the flood water drains. We the people have to ensure the water drains are well maintained. For everything we can't expect the local municipality to do the work. Let us take some responsibilty. Otherwise together we can only sink and not sail.
