Cell phones or Hell phones?

The emperors of yesteryear didn't have the luxury of what we have today. Even just 100 years ago  men had to rely on pigeons and horsemen to convey or carry messages across regions. The 21st century witnessed Science's  Everest and it takes no rest.

One of the gifts of  modern science is the invention of these mobile phones. People call it as revolution. In today's world people  are habituated to live in  midst thick concreted jungles and their flats are competing with the clouds for space. Today's kids need not invite stars or the moon to give them company as they can easily walk into those wonder things. No family is going to live in separate houses and almost all live  behind closed doors and hardly they meet their neighbors. The proximity is such that only a single wall separates them but they are miles away in distance.

Joint family systems are no more visible but for some traces in Mangolia or parts of Afriva. Under the given situation we do not know what people talk for hours and days. Whenever people  are awake they are having their ears plugged with mobile sets /communication devices. The result is more conversations with no real dialogues; more interactions without exchange of hearts; business, business, business or talks on worthless things non-stop.

People driving cars or any vehicle with their ears filled with music  are so common. Even today 6 school kids lost their lives and 19 others seriously injured in U.P.  The driver was crossing an unmanned railway unmindful of the approaching train.

"A local woman Radhika who was given a lift by the school bus later disclosed that Shailendra was listening to music with his headphones on and had also a muffler which covered his ears."

Thousands lose their lives in India due to these misuse of cellphones. The similar is the story of  people crossing rail lines with their ears closed tightly to music or gossip. Even the drivers using ghat roads are not ready to be away from this devil for a short while. To compete with the road users the rail loco pilots too do the same and accidents are reported and casualties counted as the pilots were busy posting FB Updates.

Long live Science!
